Businesses in San Antonio that list vehicle inspections (Bexar emissions certification not yet confirmed)

16 listings with a San Antonio address, grouped by ZIP code; DPS-listed stations first (archived Mar 13, 2026). Bexar registrations need a passing test only from November 1, 2026; check that a business is certified before you go. The Bexar County page lists the rest of the county, and the official list of certified stations is the DPS inspection station locator.

DPS-listed means DPS showed the station for OBD (emissions) inspections on an archived locator page of the date given; the other rows are map listings that name inspections. Neither proves certification today, and the list is not complete: call the station or check the DPS locator first.

The rules for San Antonio vehicles

What San Antonio drivers call the state inspection will be, from November 1, 2026, only this emissions test: the safety inspection for non-commercial vehicles ended on January 1, 20255. The test is an on-board diagnostics (OBD) check for gasoline vehicles from their second anniversary through 24 years old6; electric vehicles, diesels, motorcycles and mopeds are not tested7. After a failed test, the same station re-tests for free within 15 days8. Fees at registration, waivers and exemptions are on the Bexar County page.
