The rules for Dallas vehicles

What Dallas drivers call the state inspection is now only this emissions test: the safety inspection for non-commercial vehicles ended on January 1, 20257. The test is an on-board diagnostics (OBD) check for gasoline vehicles from their second anniversary through 24 years old8; electric vehicles, diesels, motorcycles and mopeds are not tested9. After a failed test, the same station re-tests for free within 15 days10. Collin County and Denton County are in the same program area with the same fee cap.
